I am a qualified, practising artist, and believe passionately in the therapeutic qualities of art, for adults and children.
I worked for many years in a hospice using creativity to develop a therapeutic "space". This precious space enables people to relax mentally, freeing themselves from a busy head full of "stuff".
Through guided sessions a client is able to work through any issues that may be in the unconscious but will show in creative marks - these can then be explored together.
This form of therapy works well with young people and also anybody that is wary of expressing themselves through talking. This is a very gentle form of therapy.
